Sarah's Birthday and moving into college

Here are some nice pictures of Mom and Sarah posing with her birthday cake. We froze the cake and Sarah really enjoyed frozen cake. She ate the rest of it and told Mom and me to keep our mits off of it.

Sarah also moved back in and I decided to load her up with stuff to carry into her new home. Sarah has some great roommates and she immediately ingratiated herself by bringing over some fresh baked cookies and another refrigerator. I wish she would bake some for me.

There is also a picture of Sarah with one of her roomies, Emily. Of course this year was different for Sarah as an aspiring junior. She did not show up with the common plebs who wasted their weekend casting computers down flights of stairs and losing refrigerators down elevator shafts. She arrived in style a day or two after fretting parents dropped off the freshmen to their fate.

Sarah says "There is no need to waste time with the common herd. They will soon be ground up by the professors and begging for their parents. As for me I have reached a degree of sophistication and erudition that has no patience with the antics of the unschooled."

Sarah takes Chicago

Sarah came home from Thailand and demanded an all expense paid trip to Chicago so that she could be properly attired for college. No really I was on a business trip and Mom and Sarah taged along. It made the business trip much better. However I was a little worried about their choice of friends. I think the conversations they had were a little one sided. But that is the way most conversations go with Mom and Sarah, I do all the listening and they do all the talking. The fact that I react like a bronze statue to their demands doesn't stop them from chatting non stop.

Mom and Sarah's main mission was to attack Michigan Ave, eat cheese flaovered popcorn from Garret's and trudge up and down Navy Pier with ten thousand other people.
